Vision
Our
vision is the creation of a strong and vibrant social economy organisation that
will improve life quality, life chances and economic well-being for local people
by being the catalyst for sustained economic growth and social development in
Camlachie. Our vision recognises that in defining local priorities and
opportunities the Bambury must take account of the external environment in which
we operate and also take cognisance of the requirement to work in partnership
with local people, stakeholders, local projects and organisations and external
agencies.
Mission
Our mission is to be the vehicle for the social and economic regeneration of
Camlachie. The Bambury will work with individuals, groups, projects, external
agencies and the private sector to identify local needs and priorities and draw
up plans of action to secure appropriate resources for the delivery of essential
community services and initiatives. We will continually evaluate the
effectiveness of our service provision and the outcomes of such and seek to
improve our services to meet the needs and priorities of the residents of
Camlachie.
Guiding
Principles
The Bambury will fit our services to the needs of local people as opposed to
fitting local people to our services.
We aim to build the capacity of our community by fostering the concept of
empowerment and independence through assisting local people to plan and act for
themselves, and not by planning and acting for them.
